We are looking at pool tables. All you owners of tables are you happy with what you bought? We are looking at several different brands. I was surprised by Sears and looking at what all they have. And folks around DFW where did you look and buy????

There are many different good brands out there.
Quality pool tables have a good thick slate top and solid base.
Wooden or partical board tops are cheapos and not far from being junk. Good slate tables used to have 3 pieces at 3/4 inch thick. They don't make them like that anymore I don't believe.
I would be hard pressed to find a quality pool table at Sears. Tables at billiard shops are more money for a reason. Quality will cost a few thousand.Comment

Don't buy new. Look on Craigslist long enough and you'll find a top of the line table that someone is basically giving away.Comment
