My dad is getting into tradtional shooting and he tried my Gold Tip 5575 arrows but the bow made the tail of the arrow move side to side, I was just wanting to know what is a good arrow for his recurve. Or what you use for your recurves. Its a 45# 58" Thanks

The 55/75 Goldtips are probably overspined for his bow.
I shoot Carbonwood 3000s from both my 41# and 54# 58" recurve and with 4 inch fletching shoot great. Nice thing is with the trad bow, they look like wood but are durable like carbons. With a 100 grain tip they weight 410 grains, plenty good to shoot 3 hogs and a deer in 07.
With onestringer.com wraps and 3 black fletching, they look good too.

GT5575's are way too stiff.
I shoot GT3555's from a 52# recurve AND, big AND I load the front end with 100gr brass inserts and 200gr points to weaken the spine, also I leave em at 31", though I draw 27.5 inches. Total arra weight is 540grains.
They fly like darts bareshaft.
Arra charts and compound knowledge of arras have NOTHING to do with trad arra selection. Most will suggest shafts that are way too stiff...because the trad bows usually aren't cut to center like compounds.

The CX-150s should do the trick. I shoot the CX-250s out of my 56#er and the CX-350s out of my 67# bow.
I agree that the GT-5575s are probably overspined depending on the arrow length and tip weight. But I have also gotten decent flight with GT-5575s out of a 41# longbow in the past by leaving them 31" and putting 210g up front.
How long are the arrows?
Are they fletched with vanes or feathers?
