    Good buy?

I found a 2008 Ford f250 Lariat Pickup for 17500, and a 2009 ford f250 for 19900. Trying to figure out mileage, would it be a good buy with less than 200,000 miles?

Yeah... I really have to agree 100% here. 200,000 is alot on most any vehicle. Just my .02 but I bet you could find just as good of a deal with lower miles.

Not unless you put one too many zeros in the 200,000 part

I just bought a 2010 F150 two weeks ago. I saw quite a few 2008 & 2009's with 50,000 miles or less while looking online. If your patient I would think you could find an F250 with much fewer miles than 200,000.

Run! Unless you can get all the documentation of all work being done to remove all the issues but then again, its like playing Russian roulette. Except with your money. 7.3 like I have are solid or 6.7 which supposedly be the darn next best thing to 7.3's.

Even if the motor holds up your looking at transmission problems with that many miles. That is not a cheap fix either. I think the others are right keep looking and you can find a better deal.

Keep looking. I bought my 08 F250 XLT two years ago with 74k for 22,000. Make sure to get the Oasis report for any Ford vehicle you want to buy. There were a lot of problems with the Job 1 6.4L trucks. Try to get one newer than 2009 if possible. Also, try to find someone with a tuner and a dpf delete kit and do that the first day you own it. EGR delete next and then you are set.

Yes. They are few and far in between. I bought mine two years ago with 172k. Still running strong. Tranny is good. Just do a good regular maintenance and its a plus if you know how to do things yourself. I bought 2002 in 2003 when it was only 9 months old, I think. It had 39k on it. Drove for 7 years almost and had to sell, out of my control. I was miserable without it. It had 174k I think. So, I looked for year and half, finally found it. I ain't selling this one!

Good luck and keep looking. Don't rush. Take ur sweet time. You will strike it rich.
