Another WT season for the history books. It's was another good one for me and my family. After being introduced to bow hunting several years ago, I was finally able to make my first bow kill this year. Tried our hardest to get my daughters buck, not much luck. But, we still have the late spike and doe season. Wish her luck! My 84 year old dad was able to harvest an 8 pointer into his 65th year of hunting in the hill country, Gillespie County. We should all be so blessed to have our health and be able to follow our passion for that many years! Have some TC pics of some bucks that made it thru the season that will be some sure enough good ones next year. Had pretty good success with my fall and winter food plots, will be getting ready for the spring and all it holds in store. Still trapping the heck out of some hogs.
We'll get busy with the tractor and disc harrow, run the soil test, fertilize, plant the food plots, keep the corn feeders filled, the batteries charged, put out the protein feed and all the off season chores that makes deer hunting what it is to us all.
Here's to hoping you all had a successful season.
