My friend built one up and cost around $1000. It's fun to shoot

Wow. Ask a question to the TBH family and you quickly discover there are some experts on every subject. I have no experience building a rifle so I think I may just look for one to buy complete. I've never used Gunbroker.com so I'm not sure how that might work. Volquartsens are really expensive but seem to be top notch. The custom options on barrels and stock are overwhelming. I have no idea what I need, well, not really, I don't need one at all. I have no idea what I want! They all look cool. Thanks for the info. It seems I need to save a little money and watch gunbroker.

Look on Youtube. It is your friend. The good thing is with a 10/22 you can do all the work yourself. You don't need a gunsmith to do the work for you, and need no special tools.

Youtube has many people showing how to do just about anything to a 10/22. You can learn pretty easy.

I looked on Gunbroker this morning and almost choked on the prices for these things now. I picked up a new one the other day at Academy for $200. They are few and far between but can be found if patient.

Anyone use one of these stocks, made in Tx? I have been thinking about this and a 28 in barrel...supposed to be whisper quite.

You can buy just a receiver and build from scratch. Everything I have from him is amazing accuracy and quality. He is here in Texas not far from San Antonio.
