          Eberlestock packs carry weight horribly.

It all depends what you will use it for. If you ever see yourself packing in/out game, go elsewhere.

I carried 80 pounds in a Dragonfly and walked away with a very sore back and a brick size bruise.

I have a Rutbuster by Timber Hawk that has been pretty good for carrying what I need in the stand

This is my light weight, carry a few knives, hatchet, water, book, ect kinda pack.

                      It serves its purpose well.

This very thread got me thinking about an all-purpose ruck that i could strap a bushblade and pistol too and go out scouting or whatever. My dad has a few Maxpedition packs and the gearslingers and loves em. I just ordered a Condor II backpack. Looks like it should be pretty gritty.

I'm using a badlands tree stand right now. Very nice pack and plenty of room. Wish Ida bought a different model though. It doesn't work so well unless you are tree stand hunting.

x2 on the Camelback Ranger. I hunt loc-on/hang on stands and love my pack. I cut a few straps off to cut down on the noise when I set it down under my seat. Highly recommend it.

I love my Ranger and made some mods to it as well. I cut the chest and waist straps off...never used em ever. Had a lady sew some molle attachments to it to accept a few more pouches and a sheath for a big blade.

I think Camelbak has gone yuppy, though. There isn't one camo or OD pack on their website now. Just a bunch of stuff that looks like what Lance Armstrong or a olympic speedwalker would use.

Badlands are good. I have a Diablo, a bit big for tree stand hunting for me, but great for hiking/camping for hogs on public land. They have a Monster Fanny pack that might be the ticket.
