    Moving an overhead feed bin

How the heck do I go about doing this? It is one of the double 14 ton ones. I found one a couple miles from us.

Hire a rigger/transport company. They will have the equipment etc. to load and haul and know how to get the oversize load prmits.

we moved two 60 ton bins and used Austin crane to do it. They charge by the hour to pick up and transport.
You might want to call some of the large cont. company i.e.- Ranger,Casco,Rodman. They are searching for work so they may take you up on the offer. ranger would be my first call. Pope Mat. in G-town might also be a good bet.

With all the resident comics around here, can't believe no one suggested emptying the bin first!

Moving it shouldn't be that expensive, especially just 2 miles. We do it with heavy equipment all the time. Crane to load/unload, haul truck, permits etc. should be under $1000.

Don't give up so easily! Heck i have moved a double wide mobil home 32 miles with nothing more than a couple of bottle jacks and a 72 hp John Deere tractor.

We moved a 20' high box blind on a flatbed gooseneck trailer using a Jeep with a winch.

Just hook it up to the truck and drag it the two miles.

A rigging company would be your best bet.
