i don't mind flying solo, but i'd still rather do it right from the get-go
Most of the teams started with 2 or 3 guys that know eachother deciding they wanted to cook something. Some started when a guy said "I'm gonna cook ______ anyone want to join me?"
Either way, none of the teams are exclusive. All you have to do is find one you like and post on their thread.
It may have happened at some point, but I've never heard of anyone being turned away.

Oh lordy... I can only imagine what her reaction would have been.

There are folks from out your way that drive in every year. Just find one and split the cost.

We will be hanging out with team mud bug. Ron invited us to camp out with them.

If its your first time, you will be surprised how well people already know you :-)

I'm going to do my best to be there this year. I couldn't make it last year and was totally bummed. Had the hotel booked and everything.

                  This is so true!

If you have a good time reading this forum, you'll LOVE Nanza.

I didn't give it much thought last year. We always have fun when we go. Hmmmmmmm, to go or not to go?

Question......I can't commit to a team as I'm not 100% sure I'm going to make it BUT I am making every effort now to keep my calendar clear for that weekend. My question is this, what is the best way for a Nanza newbie to get involved or "fit in" so to speak? Just walk up to someone and say "Hey"....and let it go from there?
