Do people really think that if they pay a lot of money to buy some land that others shouldnt hunt next to it on public land because they paid a lot of money? Seriously??!! Maybe they shouldnt have bought land next to PUBLIC land to begin with.

You can look on any Google earth satelite imagery and see what he is talking about. What he is calling a pond is nothing more than where a slu or entry flows through the marsh grass into an opening. And technically he can hunt it legally without shot crossing property lines. Let's just say a big group of birds flys directly over the top and he shoots straight up and puts the majority of the shot into the duck. i would like to see someone show me specifically in the marsh where the other shot landed.
It is also very funny that so many people keep telling you are WRONG and MOVE ON and go BUY YOUR OWN LAND! BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
But at the same time the state push's more hunters to get outdoors and look how much public land Texas has. What a crock! One minute you thank the state and the next folks blast you for using public land.
I have also hunted many public waterways and have not had to much trouble. We hunted the Jungle all through college (North End of Livingston" then moved into Port oconner, Jones Lake, Cow trap lakes, Sam Rayburn, trinity, etc etc. Most folks follow the rules and I believe you and your story.
Hats off to you on this thread for remaining professional because there are a few who posted who would have sent me to Band Camp! (always the same people)
Good luck buddy!

I concur with manwitaplan. Looks like we're from the same town too

Dont matter what the game warden or sheriff says, generally we know the legalities much better than they do. Im willing to fight tooth and nail for our public hunting rights and not be bullied, and the state of texas will even help me do it.
