    Latexo TX Info

I am looking at some property in Latexo TX off of 2663 and 1620. Does anyone know anything about this area? Is it a good place to live is there deer and hogs.

Man its an ok area from what i know about it. I have lived about 10 mins away in crockett for about 5 yrs. Pretty calm and peaceful. Close to lufkin, palestine, nac, and tyler. Lots of hogs to hunt and some bruiser deer all around here. They are just real tough to find in all these thick pine trees and under brush. But theres enough game to go around. If you like to fish then houston county lake is literally right down the road. Full of bass, red ear perch and crappie. Ive pulled 2 bass just over 9.5 lbs in the last 3 yrs and saw a 10.2 come out of there. All fish put back in too!

Good area but a lot of theirs and drugs not even a mile from the general store (cafe in DT) I had a stand and feeder stolen i found the kids and they were arrested and I got my stuff back. But like I said a lot of drugs and underage drinking I can't even count on both of my hands the number of teens there that are drinking and driving almost every night. If they weren't there it would be a great place but well there there would just older folk and the people at the general store. Don't get me wrong there are amazing deer I'm seen a few 140's and a handful of 130's but not any hogs where I was hunting on my wife's family's land. Good luck to you tho.

Spent a many of summers between there and Kennard when I was younger. (Grandparents)

Hunted between Latexo and Grapeland on some family land and always seen a few deer. Never saw hogs, but have a friend there that hunts them and gets into them often.

Currently have an Aunt still lives there..... She my hillbilly Aunt if that means anything!!!!
