Cabelas comes to Conroe?

After my rant 2 days ago about Gander blowing, my wife was told by a commercial appraiser at her company that Cabelas is closing on some land at fm 830 and I-45,( not sure of origin of info) generally this person is reliable so I am hoping that this info is accurate. Will update later.

I heard a while back that there was going to be a new one in League City but haven't heard that in a while, maybe they decided on Conroe

830 is an FM road between Conroe and Willis. It runs west from I45 to the lake. It's the next exit past League Line rd.

Their is a crap load of clearing being done up that way. Man, that would be sweet! Out of Bass Pro, Cabelas and Gander Mountain, Cabelas is by far my favorite.

I've heard that rumor too. I hope it is true. I get Cabelas gift cards for Christmas, B-Days, etc... There are not as valuable as they used to be because now I have to pay shipping and tax. At least I'd save on the shipping. The bad part is I heard that rumor about 5 years ago.
