string splitter peep!!??

I just ordered one yesterday. Looks good, but I ordered the mini. The regular one is 11/16" wide. I just dont like something that bid in my string.

Not sure what the diffrence is between that and my regular old peep I have now.
What advantage would there be to having that insted of the plain old peep I have now?
