i've seen time and time again folks in the archery circles pushing using local archery shops over big box stores. personally i am an advocate of this and give all my business to local shops as do many of you. my questions is that do you feel like you get a limited offering of bows from the local dealer?
all our local shops carry the big 4 (mathews, bowtech, hoyt and pse) but what about the new up and coming bow manufactures out there. the big four all make great bows but no longer do they make the best. there are other companies out there bringing new bows to the market that can run with any bow from the big 4 usually at less dollars too.
i'm sure archery shops want to carry inventory they can turn but are they doing the archery community a disservice by not helping consumers find the best bow for them? or have we trained them by our buying habits, have we sent the wrong message by not stepping outside the box and pushing new ground as consumers?
how many would be shooting something else if they had just got the chance to demo a smaller market product?
