I went ahead and bought one of the cheaper remote predator callers to take out with me on my last hunt and became a very quick believer....like 3 minutes quick 
Was hoping to see a shooter buck or some hogs and call a little bit in hopes for a coyote. I've been hunting our family land for about 25 years now and never seen a bobcat except for one my buddy took earlier this season. Started hearing them loud and clear along the creek bottoms last year and a little this year.
Got settled in the tree at 3:30p.m. Friday and realized I forgot to set the caller out aways from me (great rookie predator hunter move!!) Decided to just hold it out and turn on the cottontail call and was scanning quickly until I realized a cat just "appeared" 30 yds. from me on the other side of the creek. slowly eased up the rifle with my other hand (because I was still holding the silly caller in my other) and popped him! can't wait to get him back from the taxidermy - funny part was I was texting TBH'er Jason about the cat and had to set down the phone when a nice boar came out and popped him too. Saw a couple deer come out but no shooter - was kind of thinking the Texas Trio was nailed at that point
