    Any shot shell reloaders here?

Hey just getting into shot shell reloading. Got a shot maker and just fired it up. Its making pretty nice #7.5 to 6's. Anyone here make their own shot? I know with the cost of shot most dont reload. If anyone reloads and has plenty of wheel weights let me know we could work out a deal on shot

I load all my shotshells on a ponsness warren magnomatic. Never have made any shot, but have loaded all kinds of shotshells. Anything from high velocity heavy payload 10 gauge down to sub sonic loads for varmit control..

Been thinking about getting a shotshell press to add to my reloading bench. Can you really save any money? Or do you need to make your own shot before you see a difference?

Sorry if I hijacked the thread....

No hi-jack. but shot is $40 a bag it used to be in the $17 range. It helps if you make your own shot.

Depends on what you load.I shoot 3 inch 410 so it saves tons of money. Standard 12 guage it is a bit cheeper.

              Here is your secret trick:
I hunted all upland birds from Snipe to Crows. I mixed equil parts of 9 - 7 - and 5 shot in my shells. It gives good density up close, and one number 5 pellit would bring down a crow 70 yards up.

I don't think I save money but its fun to do . Making .300 Blackout from a 5.56 brass is even better than shotshell reloading .
                  Good luck .

I reloaded shotshells for several years. Enjoyed it as a hobby but just got tired of it.

I do it but only have a 12 gauge press and have not done it recently because I only shoot 12 at ducks.
