    Coyotes are getting brave

I had a cooler with a doe in it sitting under the carport of my shop behind my house. Last night coyotes opened the cooler which had a cinder block on top of it and stole all of the meat out of it without turning it over I can even see teeth marks on the lid where they opened it. My wife said she heard them yelping very close to the house last night and that our dog , a catahoula curr mix was barking and howling in a way she had never heard it sound , but didn't think much of it since we always hear the yotes at our place. we live in a rural area so it is not uncommon to hear or even see them. I beleive they even took a newborn calf that was born Christmas Eve.I have searched the property and can find no sign of it.I guess it is time to start hunting some coyotes!!

I usually put a ratchet strap through the handles and over the lid of the cooler.

I had one a few years ago that was coming up in the daytime to snatch chickens

About to start a war on them myself, see tracks all the time behind the barn. Going to shoot, trap and any other means. Would love to get one with my bow
Since the fur market has all but died there is nothing to keep numbers in check.

i had a cat chew wires on my truck that cost me 140.00 bucks.........that next day i was live trapping every single one and relocating them

as far as this i would put out some old meat and wait them out

I would be curious to know how much game we lose to coyotes. I would bet we would see a lot more deer and rabbits with less dogs.
I may try to relocate a few this winter too, before the does drop fawns.

start putting the hammer, literally, down on them. Get yourself one of those evil black rifles and go to town on them.

I am a little surprised they got so close with the dog going crazy.

Call them in and blast them. 12g …#4buck

                              Good luck.
