Hand surgery is set for Friday morning. I'm told they will use plates and screws on 2 fingers and reset the others. Then it's 6 weeks and therapy, then evaluate to see if a second surgery is needed. Big bummer!

I'm about 2 weeks ahead of you except it's my ankle. It's already been 2 weeks this Friday, been on crutches, still got 4-6 weeks left before I can even put pressure on it. After that, intensive therapy. Gonna suck.

Life is a matter of what you compare it with. It could have been worse . Hope you both heal quickly .

Just a note: I've had over 25 fractures in my lifetime, and have been in orthopedic surgery 7 times for repairs, including bone graphs .

Good luck with it. Rehab, rehab, rehab, that is the best thing I can tell you. Ive had 6 surgeries with two of them requiring plates and or screws.
