Working for Christmas... Who else?

It is the 4th year in a row I'll be gone for Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I work offshore on drilling rigs, but honestly, don't know if I can hack it much more. It's just tough to find a decent income with a "normal" job for one with only 50 hrs of college.

Who else is away from their family right now?

Days for me. 5am to 5pm.

Not sure how many total hours of school I have but it's a bunch. I'm working 48 hours on call then back to regular hours Wednesday. Missed thanksgiving as well. I miss my family but glad my partners are enjoying their families and kids. Next year ill be off. It's been a great year and I have lived the work hard, play hard philosophy to the max. I do wish a very merry Christmas to all the tbh family.
