Seems a little early for Bucks to be dropping

I hunt in Clay County and saw 4 bucks today each with only 1 antler. Not broken off, just gone. Also have numerous trail cam pics all within the last week.

It just seems way too early for them to be dropping. Stress maybe? Lack of nutrition? (They all look healthy).

Also, are these deer now considered legal in AR county?

    Thanks

I've hunted there for years and its not that unusual at all. Shocked me when I first started to see it though

Interesting situation. You had better consult the Game Wardens and not trust any advice you get on here.

They are legal if the beam remaining is unbranched. But then again if that's the case then they were legal before they shed the other Side.

I have a buck with zero antler on one side of his head, sent pic to my local warden and he told me I can't shoot it, to be an "unbranched antler" there actually has to be an antler protruding from the skull.

Exactly. The rule is very clear.

Its been going on a couple of weeks here in East tx. I have several very healthy bucks already shed. I posted a thread named ITS OVER IN EAST TX about it. Weird year.
