                thanks guys!! (yea i'm pretty proud to have a daughter that loved to have a knife as a birthday present!)

                      Totally agree that picture of me pointing at the hairless spot on my arm, was me showing her how sharp they are. one slide down the arm and it's smooth. (she said "hey, i can shave my legs at the deer lease now" )

                        I now put convex edges on all of my knives. I take them through 320 grit, 400 grit, 900 grit, 1200 grit, 2500 grit, 4500 grit, and then white polishing compound on a felt belt. The really dangerous part comes at the end. I take off the final burr with a polishing wheel and fiberlustre compound. I have to be very careful that the wheel doesn't grab the knife and toss it rapidly across the workshop.
