I was in Cabela's Fort Worth earlier picking up some guns they ordered for me. I was talking to the manager while waiting on them to be located. We were discussing the craziness of the gun and ammo sales and he says they were packed all day yesterday. Said they did right at $820,000 worth of business. After looking over the shelves and seeing the crowd today I just might believe him. He also said Cabela's as a whole was sold out of black rifles and magazines. Insanity...

Actually I heard the stock on some of the gun manufacturers was down because of the long-term implications of gun law changes...

Easily believe that. I was at Bass Pro in San Antonio this am and they had around 60 AR's and we waited in line 2 hrs to get them. Sold everyone plus dozens of other guns that I saw. Must have been 20+ people still waiting when I left.

Store was packed and stuff was flying off shelfs,

The ammo aisle looked like a women's shoe store giving away free shoes, elbow to elbow and everyone was getting 5-6 boxes of ammo.

With a CHL you can bypass a background check?

The reason that a CHL person does not do the instant check is because the person having the CHL has already been checked out and blessed, in order to obtain the CHL, you have to pass all requirements in order to get the CHL. The FFL dealer just writes down your CHL info on the form 4473. It is a nice bonus perk, especially in times like these when the wait can be hours or days.

Yet to been seen. If it is like the last one, there will be a grandfather clause for all owned at the time the law is past. I believe that it was mentioned that there will be a grandfather clause.

I do not expect for this one to have a sunset provision like the last one. This one will include hi cap magazines. Nothing over 10 rounds.

I hope they will be able to produce the parts. We wont see mags or lowers until the law makers decide to repeal the law.

the anti gun crowd doesnt realize they helped put a butt load of guns/ammo into circulation, I would guess that gun sales equaled if not surpassed those of iPad/iPhone in the last ten days
