Guys, I am about to build 2 new bow blinds for this year and was wondering. I am thinking of either putting in windows with shoot thru mesh or drop down windows. Any suggestions or better ideas?

Here's what I'm thinking about doing on my next one. Mount a little aluminum channel above and below the window and custom frame a screen that will slide back and forth. You can buy the screen frame materials and spline tool cheap at HD or Lowe's. I don't see well enough through mesh to shoot, so I'd use gray window screen and camo paint the outside of the screen to match the blind. I'm planning on making the windows about 18" wide and when hunting, slide the screen to give me a gap of 8" or so to shoot through - or you could mount mesh in the frame instead of window screen and just shoot through it.

For my carpet blinds, the blinds that stay out all the time, I just cut rectangles in the panels for my shooting holes and leave them open. At one time when the black hole thing concerned me, I made netting windows with the screen door stuff and hinges. I could open and close them as needed. Since then, I see no reason to worry about it and just leave them open.
On my pop-ups, I cut slits and tie them back to make triangles and just leave the open. I kill most of my deer at about 12 yards, so it seems to work.
Carpet blind.
Couple pop ups.
