Well I dont know and am not going to try to predict what will happen, but I do know that at $3 a gallon it was a pain, but at $4 a gallon it is going to make me go broke this coming up deer season.

I remember .39 cents per gallon. Dad went ballistic when it went to .40 cents.

I remember .29 cents a gallon and if you purchased it at an Exxon station, they gave you a free 'Tiger Tail' to hang on your gas cap.

I started working at my Dads "service station" in grand prairie when gas was 30 cents a gallon. I can remember when it when't to 50 cents and people said they would quit driving instead of paying the high price.

First time I noticed how much it cost is when I would ride my go-cart half a mile down the road to the gas station and it only cost me 97 cents to fill up that little tank. High school I believe it was about $1 and I dang near crying when it jumped to a buck 50 filling up a bass boat heading to a tournament. So this state had to lose alot more rabbits for me to fish.

I'll bet if the US took control of the Iraqi oil fields, shipping it in US tankers to be sold in the US market for $20/barrel until their war-debt we're incurring was paid-off to the USA, the rest of the oil producing countries would drop their prices to match and we'd be paying that again. Only problem is all the middle-men, commodities speculators, oil company executives and the governments getting rich off the higher taxes wouldn't allow it.
