She's running a 429, bored and balanced, with the good stuff in it... a C-6, backed with a GEAR VENDOR O/D... and 3:90 locker. The restoration is over 12 years old. The entire running gear (and seals, bearings, brakes, exhaust, radiator, a/c etc.) has 4,687 miles on it.

NOTE: I did NOT build this one (I've done several... but age and time have made their mark on my patience with a frame-off, lol!).

I AM doing quite a bit to her, over the next few weeks/months (I put the GEAR VENDOR in, and the "SQUIRE" badging).

Here is a rundown of what's coming for this little darlin' next:

                    1. New interior (donated from a '65 T-bird Landau, including the center console... cut down and adapted). I'm doing it in a cream leather. I'm installing 'factory' dark red carpet. And this next week, I'm going to treat the lower half of the dash (below the chrome line) and the outer edge of the brand new cream door panels (from Dennis Carpenter) to a "BUBINGA" wood treatment - compliments of 3-M's Di-noc film (it is what Mercedes, Caddy, Lincoln, etc. use for many of their "woodgrain" interior treatments).

I'm also going to run a strip of the bubinga down the center alleyway of the body trim chrome. I am in the process of sanding out light scratches from a '70 Ranger XLT deluxe tailgate insert (the large woodgrain one). I will restore it, and use the bubinga in the area where FORD put the dark teak film).

I am creating a one-of-a-kind "SQUIRE" truck. Always thought they should have built one...

I am also putting on front and rear sway bars, and getting another hood ready for the functional "SHAKER HOOD" scoop/breather I rescued from a '70 model Ranchero I cracked up years ago.

                        thor,

I have an original '65 FORD drop-down a/c that works and looks beautiful. But this Vintage Air system will work better with the console.
