    Premium Cookware?

Thinking of finally getting Kathie some good cookware to replace the mismatched stuff we have wound up with over the years.
Brands that ring a bell or I have been suggested are T-fal and All Clad
What do you cooks recommend and what do you others guys wives like?

    Thanks,

We have All Clad and La Creuset. Really fantastic cookware. I would highly recommend the layer (clad) pots and La Creuset for bake ware.

Didn't think to clarify but I'm thinking pots, pans and skillets for now.

My link above is to the All-Clad we have. We love it. Very even heat.

Cast Iron! That's quality, I have slowly replaced everything with it and will never go back.

                  Azle

Aint pretty but it cooks perfect!

I love me some quality cookware. I hate the cheap stuff. But this cracks me up, us grown men sitting around a campfire talking about cookware. I know Im getting old now.

A good cast iron pot for a christmas present is the best thing, she will love you for ever after you wake up.

We are buying Tramontina Triple Ply. They have it at Walmart and my buddy turned me on to it. He has owned it for over a year and is an ancredible cook and loves it. Cooks Illustrated rated it on the top, over Calphalon, All Clad and Le Cruset. Do not buy the lower line, it has to be the Triple Ply. My wife and I are selling out Calphalon and getting this for Christmas to ourselves this year.

Oh, and we own a full set of cast iron as well

I just don't think cast iron is a good everyday alternative.

We have 2 good skillets and a couple pots in cast iron and they are great for their given purpose but you can't slide them in/out of the fridge without scratching the glass shelves and they are also heck on the sink when washing them.
