Will a Glock mag fit any generation gun?

Yes unless you set a Gen 4 up for left hand magazine release. The newer mags are made to work in both right or left hand configuration.

The newer ones I prefer because they will all drop when you hit the magazine release. Whether they are empty or have ammo in them. The real old ones you would actually have to grab them and pull out of the gun.

Those were called "drop free" mags and it was a limited production run
