    Mastercraft tire Qs

Getting a new truck and the place I'm getting it said they can take it down to the tire store they deal with and the store will give me a little bit for the stock tires and knock it off the price of some new tires. They deal in Mastercrafts and I'm not sure if or what else. I'm getting rid of the 245 stocks and think I'm gonna go with the 285 AXTs but I don't know much about this brand of tires. It looks like they are made by Cooper but not sure of anything else. Anyone ever had a set of these AXTs or the M/Ts, looking at them too but they only make a 265 in a 17" wheel.

I had the all terrains on a 3/4 ton 4x4 ford at 20000 miles they were slick and had to replace them. I would get something else if it was me you can get a tire that last twice the miles for little bit more instead of buying new ones twice a year.

Ouch, these have a 50k mile tread wear warranty so that's not close to what they are guaranteeing. Were they E rated tires? Reason why I'm really lookin at these is because I'll be getting them at a cheaper price. I'll be asking the tire shop what else they may have but more than likely these will be what they have in stock.

Ran 2 sets on my F350 C/C and did not get much mileage out of them. Soft compound that does not last.

Did y'all have any problem with flats from thorns, nails etc.? That's my biggest deal is getting 10 ply tires and they act like 2 plys.

How did they perform in the sand and mud?

Decent in the mud and sand, but my truck is really heavy with the diesel and size. Never had a flat so that was good.

My Mastercraft Courser AT's just cost my insurance company $7000 at the collision shop. 17000 miles on tires and had a blow out. It took out front fender, door, ABS wiring harness, fender well, and nerf bar. Never again!!

I had a set on my old truck and put at least 40k on them then I sold the truck. They were still decent. No problem here!
