Gun rest question for the accuracy shooters...

If you guys are looking for a portable rest that you can use for hunting also, Caldwell Sure Shot is a pretty neat set up, I just got one for my special son, hopefully he will get to take down a deer in a couple of weeks.

Your pics are about the same kinda set up I do... I came across this "BULL BAG" rest, that looked interesting though, anyone have one??

Also where can you get the Zircon sand for this type application or chromite sand???

I cut my teeth in "accuracy" shooting benchrest competition for small group size

I have a Bald Eagle rest, cast iron Witchita rest, and a Speedy rest which is my favorite . All are micro windshield and elevation adjustable . I use leather and cordura rear bags filled with zircon (heavy sand). I shoot free recoil as my triggers are set at 8 ozs.

I use the bald eagle slingshot in cast iron front and same zircon rear in leather w corduroy ears

Sinclair International sells Zircon sand as its expensive at $20 for 15 lbs , then add shipping

Find some Chromite sand which is used in foundaries

I'll research companies that sell chromite and get back to you
