killed a crappy mule deer with a rifle. Missed a turkey with my bow (hit top of feed pen). saw plenty of deer to kill with my bow just nothing i wanted.

I can't complain. I have killed 4 does. All good shots with short recoveries. The first was at a friends house and over a feeder. The other 3 have been in stands next to acorn trees. I don't even have a feeder on my place. My target buck has been in bow range 3 times and I haven't been able to draw on him yet.

At least you guys got to hunt this year we lost our lease. We have not been in a stand this season.

I've hunted about 8 weekends since October and have seen ZERO deer. I guess it's just not my year.

Unusually slow for me as well. Maybe the length of warm temps we had?

Combine that with a huge acorn crop and September rains and the deer on my lease had a buffet. They really needed it after last year though.

I have knocked down one doe and have been out of town working since the first week of November. Only put in about 5 hunts, but i will be home next week for three weeks and plan on knocking some more deer down. Game camera is showing lots of activity.......

It's been really slow for me. I saw two deer during archery season and both of them were 150 yards away. I've been skunked more times this season than I have before in my life.

Could be worse, I've seen a ton of deer and nothing has fallen. Shot a twig at 10 yards miss, bounced a arrow off a deer at 25 yrds, and to rub salt in the wound I rattled a nice buck to the base of the stand with no shot. I'm talking 20 feet and he all but climbed the ladder....Fun season, but no payoff.

Been seeing better deer every time I check my cameras seen two good shooters couldn't get a shot off though in range sometimes that's bowhunting just another reason to get back in the stand ill be working for about 8 days strait then back in the stand again
