    Pheasant hunting advice

Myself and 3 other guys looking at booking a pheasant hunt. My questions are: Anybody got any good references on an outfitter and what time is best to go, what should we plan on spending etc. any help would be greatly appreciated

I grew up with the Swinburns in Tulia. They have thousands of acres and usually have birds. Opening weekend is always the best, but go anytime you have a chance.

I would recommend going to see these guys.
Premier South Dakota Guided Pheasant Hunts

They are great guys and will put you on far more wild birds than you can find anywhere in Texas. I grew up in the panhandle and have hunted pheasant since I was old enough to walk through corn stubble, with the exception of the last two years. There are just no birds here to speak of.

I would tell you Kansas, but during my deer hunt, I only heard one rooster cackle the whole time I was there. The drought there has killed the bird hunting up there.
But if you want to drive, then the Dakota's.
