I've had one set up this whole year. There are pros/cons: Cons - ive never had the wifi work past about 125 yards and they advertise 200. If you want someone to test your feeder if you cant make it to the lease, tough luck unless if they download the app. Pros - It sure is nice when you want to hunt till 10 and you run out of corn at 8, just turn that baby on and let it throw. The app is extremely easy to work, a drunk monkey could operate with ease.

I have seen no cons with mine, I love it! Once you buy one you will want them on all your feeders.

As cas077 said, that wifi isn't near as long range as they advertise. My rifle blind was 80 yards out and it didn't reach that far. Otherwise very user friendly.

          I've got four running now.

The only con that I've had is connecting. Once connected your in control of your feeder.
You can feed "now" or turn on an aux. light.

I have 2. Only one installed because the first never shut off and dump 350# of corn. had to make emergency fix with a standard timer. They sent me a new one but havent installed it. The other one works fine but doesnt keep track of the corn in the feeder. Maybe I didn't set it up correctly. Like others say, sometimes difficult to get the wifi connected.

I have four of them and they are working perfect now.

When I first got them there was a learning curve but once I got the hang of it and understood that with a varmint cage and no antenna extension, the range is shorter and then understanding exactly how the unit worked, I was golden.

if you are not technically savvy and expect this to be idiot proof right out of the box, good luck with that.

I would suggest playing with it at the house with a slinger to get the hang of how it works.

I would also suggest getting an antenna extension if you plan on using it on a feeder with a varmint cage or feed panels between you and feeder.

Also, if there is any problem I am sure Quad and his competent people will make it right.

I did have a problem with a couple I had, never new what it was but being technically savvy myself, it was something really wacky. Due to the fact that the control is done through an app and apple always updating this and that, I think the issues had something to do with that myself. Needless to say I after contacting the Quad's office, they spent some time on the phone with me to make sure there was not something simple I was missing and once we did that, sent me replacements and I sent the others back. Replacements came with new software in them and it has worked flawlessly since.

Once you get the hang of it at the house, put it on your feeder there if you can with varmint cage if using, then get a feel for connectivity distance, get it working there first, then take it out to the killing fields.

My best success has been with two 12v feeder batteries and a solar panel and since I have not had a single problem. You don't have to use two 12v batteries, I just do so I don't have to mess with it and I had extra batteries...lol

There is also the ability to install I believe 3 AA batteries internally which will help keep settings internally if the main power source drains...now these will not run the slinger but will keep the clock and settings in place.

If I have a need to purchase more in the future, I would not hesitate purchasing another.
