Who handles the finances and who cooks? (at home)

We had a deer lease campfire conversation last weekend, thus I thought I'd ask the same 2 question's to the Green Screen's campfire:

Who handles the household finances?


Who does a majority of the cooking in your home?

Husband, wife in that order

Finances - The Wifey, even though I'm a CPA (typical barber's son needs a haircut thing)

Most of the big dinner cooking - I'm Da Man

She does from both fronts.

My better half is a Tax CPA and loves to cook!

I specialize in outdoor meat cooking operations though.

I do all the finances in my house. My wife is a stay at home mom and I give her an alloted amount of money each month used for gas, food, etc. We still have separate bank accounts but I like it that way. She does the cooking unless its grilling.

Finances - 80/20 her. (And I'm a financial advisor!) Cooking - 80/20 me. She's a pretty good cook but I enjoy cooking more. (I'm better at it too)

I handle both but I inform him of all our finances and I've taught him how to *really* cook. Not out of the box crap. So, we swap back & forth but primarily me.
