Has anyone been doing any experiments with attractants?

Has anyone been trying different attractants this season? Stuff such as:
    Buck Candy
    Acorn Rage
    Deer Cane
    Hog Wild
    Plain corn
    blocks & rocks
    etc.,
Which ones really bring in deer and which ones are not worth the money?

I poured out some Acron Rage this weekend and watched a nubbin buck and yearling doe eat it. The mature does never even looked at it. Also had out some Buck Jam. Nothing touched it while I was watching, but the attractants are always gone when I get out there next week. I'm sure the hogs end up eating most of it.

I put out a few bales of compressed alfalfa from Tractor Supply, there is still some there, but the deer and axis have grazed on it according to my cameras. Probably going to try again and replenish what is gone. The bale I broke up went faster than the one I left in the string.

I put a bag (the big one) of Acorn Rage in my feeder this year with about 300lbs of corn. Will never do that again. I've had my feeder clog twice already. Heck, its probably clogged right now. To top it off, can't say I've seen more deer than normal when it is working.

years ago i would try stetson mixed with cold pizza leftovers... but as my skills grew i found that a mix of diamonds and flowers seemed to work the best.

heck, i got my trophy with that mix!

i have tried buck candy, acorn rage, and deer cane. none of them worked. in fact they actually attracted cattle. and you can't leave the buck candy around camp or there will be like 1000 bees swarming the place lol.

the deer on my place just like plain old corn.

Its all made to draw in the hunter. once youve bought it...its done its job. Stick with corn unless your just bored and feel like blowing away some money.

I've been experimenting with plain Ol corn all year and it doesn't work!

However I have found that acorns do work!

i used the sugar beet pink stuff from lee and tiffany or the product they endorse and really have had good luck with it. sat several times and deer went straight to it before they hit the feeder.had a couple hogs on it but waymore deer than than pigs. also used the swamp donkey with great success. put hand corn and swamp donkey infront of a camera just waiting to see what pics i get this week. sure some of it doesnt work some does just depends if yalls deer are curious enough to go check it out. never tried anything else this worked first try so didnt think i needed to look at anything else.

Hmm this just got me to thinking. I wonder how well her pee would have worked if you had collected it doesn't get much fresher?

I have had the same results this season. Everything mixed with corn. I tried more bc this season. I cannot tell that anything has helped me. I have even tried rice bran but the piles sat on the ground and rotted. I can save money and stick with plain ol corn.
