Just Google it and you will have plenty of info on it. Out to 25 yards, it doesn't make much difference in impact at all and I shoot stick bows. I use them any time I am hunting turkeys, hogs, hunting in the rain or near neighbors fence line.

I shot this doe during bow season with the string on it because the brush on a creek right behind the blind was so thick. As it turned out she ran out into the field and fell within sight. I use it a lot and ven have a proven Lacy dog.

The first picture you can see the string going back across the field to where I was sitting and in the next picture you can see where I've pulled all the sting into a pile.

I've used string trackers for over 30 years now and while they may take some getting used to, they certainly have their place.

Does anyone know if P&Y allows the use of these under their free & fair chase rules? I am very interested in trying one of these out....

Be sure and try the string tracker before going hunting with it.

Out of trad equipment and slower shooting compounds they work great. The newer bow shooting faster not so good.

When I tried it a few years back the arrow hit over a foot low at 20 yards. The key might be in a heavy arrow, 600 + grains.

If your are not going to shoot in the rain, why hunt in the rain?

Heck yeah I'm shooting. Why hunt if your not wanting to shoot? With that said, I don't shoot all the time when deer are within range.
