Scope recommendations?

I'm needing to put some glass on a 270wsm and stay below $500.
The Vortex 4.5-16 x 44 is one that I'm looking at.

What would be some other quality choices?

Those would be in the $600/$700 range compared the the vortex.

I should have clarified no 3-9 or 50mm

I'm in an AR county and want the extra magnification without giving the low power (4.5).

Vortex, glass is equal or better than Zeiss. And I like Zeiss alot. The Vortex for that priice point is an excellent value, great knobs, repeatable preformance.

Nikon they make good scopes. Some are under $500
