    How long?

Guys and gals I need your expertise... Finally get some time to go hunt so yesterday I go scout an area and i see fairly go dear movement... Fast foreword to this morning I set up to watch the trails from yesterday... Lots of does moving around but not on the trails I am set up on... Finally at about 8 I hear some rocks kick over and I catch sight of two does moving in my direction... They go behind some brush and I draw back... Well both does dart across the opening I had anticipated using as a shooting lane... Both stop but r not where I can take a shot... Hear more rocks and here comes a six point buck... He stops in a small clearing of to my left... I had to contort my body as I sit on a rock but manage to get my thirty yard pin on him... I take a deep breath and squeeze the trigger... As I here my release go off and the arrow fly i feel my bow hit my leg... Shot goes low buck runs of ten yards behind some brush... Well when I came around with the bow I got to close to my leg and the bottom limb struck my leg driving the bow forward and the shot low so how long should I wait before I set up on the trail... Don't believe the buck knows what happened. Sorry for the long read.

      Go right back, no problems.
When I scare a deer I just think of all the other deer out there that have no idea anything ever happened. The six may stay away a day or two but he'll be back as well

I agree with all the previous comments. You said the buck ran off 10 yds behind some brush. If he stopped there then he wasn't scared enough to totally vacate the area. I'd be back on it right away.

Yep, most of the time when they don´t know what actually happened when they hear a sudden sound, they run for just a few yards, stop and stare back...if he did that he might be still around.

Sitting or kneeling shots are very difficult if you´re not used to shoot your bow that way that`s why you hit that leg, go back again and wait...good luck bro!
