    Dog is limping bad

So my lacy is not putting his left paw down and limping around. I checked the pad several times for anything stuck in there and can't find anything. He was licking it constantly two days ago, but now barely does at all. He is in great spirits and still wants to chase squirrels around the yard, but I'm trying to limit that. Does soaking in warm water help? Saline? It's not broken or at least he doesn't act Like it when I hold it.

Mine did that. Checked his pad didnt spot anything. A few days later noticed he was still doing it. Checked again found a tick that was tucked away between his middle pad and split in his toes. Removed it and he was fine after.

Ditto - except after a day, I used reading glasses (normally don't use them) to take a super close look. He had a cactus thorn in his paw.

have had the same thing from sandbur that left an sticker (magnifying glass) or a bee sting. Mine will babysit their sting for a couple hours then its over.

Sounds like a splinter in pad or between the toes...any part swollen??

Nothing is swollen but he has pulled hair out and it's pretty pink in between his toes. Today is day 3. It hasn't gotten more tender and he isn't licking it much now. Obviously if it started getting worse I'd be at the vet, but he is super tough and normally works it out I I can't remove anything. Just tough to watch.

Probably a sticker or thorn of some kind. If he's pulled hair out trying to get to it.

It might be too small for you to see.
