I tend to try to lean toward a gift that gets positive attention. That way it is passed around more than the bad gift. I provided a marshmallow gun at work that went over pretty well. the room was covered in marshmallows pretty quickly.

Someone talked about this last year. The gift that I still remember from that thread was a live chicken, in a wrapped package!

Someone did this at our church last year, about 50 folks in a circle watching and that sucker went biserk when the box was opened.

We had a 6' tall trophy one year with:

Redneck in a Bucket: new 5 gallon bucket with lid, an old Conway tape, trucker style mesh ball cap, pack of Redman, and maybe and old flannel shirt.

We do one of these every year. The biggest "winner" last year was a framed 8 X 10 picture of one of the guys here at work dressed as a playboy bunny....****ed thing got stole twice....

A few years ago I got caught without a good one so I made the drive to town to the dollar store and bought the following "a small bottle of 2 cycle oil, a set of wooden cloths pins, a can of fake snow, and the largest bra they had in the store". The set was also stole twice......

I wrapped up a live guinea hen one year for one of these at a co-workers house. They will bring a bit of excitement to a party.
Cost me quite a bit of money in carpet repairs but it was hillarious. Sure didnt mean for everything that happened to happen. A duck would have been a better option but the farmer didnt have any so I went with the hen.
