    Prayers please.

The wife and I just made one of the hardest decisions ever. Told my son he has to move back home from college because he is not making the grades and is partying too much. This means he gives up football. This is killing us!
    Thanks in advance!

Some for the best teachable moments that we all have to learn are not the easiest and at the time they seemed unfair but as we look back we are thankful for them.Prayers are with y'all I to have children 18yrs to 21yrs they range and having to see them learned somethings the hard way brings tears to my eyes. When we feel as if things aren't going the way we want them to go we go to GOD this verse came to my mind I know it will bring y'all comfort Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Sounds real familiar, you just took me back about 20yrs. You don't need prayers you need an attaboy! He will thank you for it one day.

Thanks guys! I have been praying about this for a long time now and last night we made the decision. It hurts, but I really feel this may be the best thing for him right now. I really appreciate the prayers and the helpful comments. I told him last night,"Don't let this be your defining moment in life". I hope we can look back one day and say "That's the best thing we ever did for him." God Bless

I understand your concern, being a good father is one of the most difficult jobs in heart.

As fathers sometimes we are between a sword and a wall, decisions like this are very hard for us even when we know that we`re doing the best for our kids...

I do believe that the most important thing we can provide to our kids is education, they may lack fancy clothes, nice shoes, toys or even cars if they`re tennagers but without education they will be NOTHING in the future.

It`s very dissapointing to work hard trying to earn enough money for their schools and getting back bad notes or disinterest...he may found football interesting and perhaps he could be a good player someday but education must be he`s first concern, if not, then he`s not heading the best way for him.

Hope someday your son will have enough maturity to realize that you did right brother

I`ll pray for that to happen

You and your wife are doing the right thing and he will be better off in the long run. It is tough to make the hard decisions. We just did the same with our 20 year old daughter.
