Can you use a printer with a Samsung tablet?

Trying to decide if I want a samsung tablet or new laptop. Can you use a home printer with a tablet?
I will be using a Verizon mifi if that matters.

WiFi yes or Samsung printer both still have to have WiFi. There is a app that allows u to print to a printer. I got the Samsung tab 2.0 and love it. If u live near san Antonio I can get u one for 299.00 no tax.
