Look on the Chaffhaye website it shows who their distributors are. Then call ahead and confirm they have it.

There is a distributor just south of Brookshire. Can't remember the name but I've bought it from them in the past.

Does it attract them more than alfalfa hay does?

I would go with alfalfa, IMO

I'm gonna take both Alfalfa and Chaffhaye. All Chaffhaye is apparently is alfalfa that is coated with molasses and then bagged. The molassess some how seals the moisture in the leaves and the stuff has a real strong sweet smell. I am going to give it a try.

Chaffhaye works great here in Kerrville. I have brought many axis in with it. They love this stuff.

It is like any new feed, they need an adjustment period. Once they get hooked on it, they will tear it up. Just like the first time you put out protein feed, they did not eat it well. it takes time to get them hooked on it.
