Need a timber company reference

Anybody dealt with a timber company? My dad is looking to sell the timber off of a new property he just purchased it's only 25 acres but full of cedar and oak trees also looking to take some pines and sweetgums off of his other 100 acres. Any help would be appreciated.

I am no help where you are but my idea would be to hire a Registered Forester to help with the sale. Will cost some but unless your Father has a recent cruise or one that can be updated then the first thing you need to know is what and how much you are selling.

Asking a timber company or their Forester that has a fiduciary responsibility to them is like asking a fox to guard the hen house. JMHO

i would ask to see some previous jobs they did, the guys(idk a company) who cut our lease did a craptastic job

high stumps,broken tree tops everywhere,huge limbs everywhere, destroyed lease roads
