    Ar-15 trigger options

I own a R-15 and very early on I dropped in a timney 3# trigger and really liked the crisp, clean break on it. It was a vast improvment from the stock trigger, But...... I was calling coyotes Friday and about halfway on my half-mile walk I realized I forgot my shooting sticks in the truck. I figured if I did accidentaly call something in I could shoot using my knee as a rest. Two yotes came in only minutes after a coyote pup howl I gave them. I rested the crosshairs on them and when I began to apply pressure to the trigger I missed the coyote. I blame it on the trigger pull so....I was wondering if there were any triggers out there that might be lighter than three pounds---maybe 2- or 2.5 that are drop in single stage triggers that yall have experience with and would recommend. I can make off hand shot with my bolt guns at times but my ar's trigger seems to just be a little bit heavy for those instances--- So, I need a good precision/hunting trigger if those exist together-...ohh, and safe -- thanks for yalls time

Geissele Dmr trigger is my favorite. You can make it pretty light, it's adjustable!

2lb trigger isn't going to fix your problem, you will notice little difference from 2 to 3 pounds in a hunting environment.

Jard makes a great single stage trigger. Im running two of them on AR-15's... Fully adjustable. Installed them myself easily... My favorite AR is set on 1lb 14.1 oz. I couldnt be happier with it. They have them from 1.5 lbs to 5 lbs... ($149 bucks)

I havent shot the Geissele but I bet its good too. (it better be at 279 bucks).

You guys are crazy walking around with 2 pound triggers

Geissele is going to be sweet though. Jard is pretty good for the price

I will take your old nasty timney

LOL... Everything in my safe except for shotguns has a trigger less than two lbs. Call me crazy... Firearms Safety is the most important issue here.. (I dont however walk around with a loaded gun except on a stalk)

                Your fingers turn black yet?

Man, the things you can learn on here. I was just talking to a friend of mine today about triggers n trigger pull wt. Is replacing a trigger something a relative Novice can do?

Went and looked them up. Wow, those look sweet

I bought a Colt LE6920 this past spring and it's trigger was nearly 7 pounds. Installed the two stage Giessele SSA and I love it. Sure made a big difference at the range.
