Ok. I just got mine to do what yours is doing. I pressed in my lock button and barely pulled the action back until i heard a small click. I let it go and it stayed like that. Grab ahold of that sucker and slam it back. Then push your release button on the side and let it slam forward. They don't work if you ease them in and out of position.

Hmmm. Tried these steps and no dice It seems as though the issue may be on the carriage itself. Seems as though there is a part which comes up to meet the bottom of the carriage which stops it from going forward. Looks like there is two notches under the carriage on the one which keeps it all the way back and the other which allows it to cheat forward. Looks like its time for a trip to the gunsmith. Anyone on the GS have any recommendations around the Houston area?

        Thanks for all the input!!

Sorry about that. Wish it would've worked. No help on a gunsmith either.

I had a smile on my face when you posted that you duplicated the problem and were able to fix it. Thanks for taking the time to help a brother out.
