    Panhandle Geese/Ducks/Cranes 11/31-12/2 - Photos

Belle and I headed West to visit my buddy Greg for our annual pheasant opener trip. TPWD's survey's where historically bad so we mostly focused on geese and ducks. Did pretty good Saturday, limiting on honkers, and pintails. Pheasant hunted that afternoon for a couple hours. Only saw 2 birds in some ideal habitat. I missed the only rooster we saw

Sunday wasn't as good for geese but we managed a couple plus some ducks and 2 cranes! One of the best weekend's I've had in a long time with a good friend. Can't wait to make some crane k-bobs. Best tasting bird out there IMO.

    Belle was wore out!

We were hunting about 10 miles away from this wetland scene. The birds in front are all geese. Cranes are in flight and in the back. It was incredible.
