How to sell an ATV without the title

I have a Polaris sitting in garage that we are no longe using, however we still owe money on it (hence not having the title). Is there any way to sell it for the amount that we still owe on it thus paying it off; getting the title and then able to give the title to the person who purchased it?

It sucks to be paying money on something that is just sitting there and accuring interest.

Have their bank or credit union handle the payoff. Sign as seller and you are done

Yes you can sale it,pay it off and mail the buyer the title as long as both parties will agree to that,just do a bill.of sale also,as thats how I bought my atv,and it went problem free....

Did you pay sales tax on it or buy claiming farm use? If you paid no tax you may only have the MSO(manufacturers state of origin). The only way you will get a title is if you paid sales tax and title fee.

I bought mine tax free / ag exempt and received title from the state. I didn't think that had anything to do with it? Not arguing brother, just making a statement.
