    Gun show 'stuff'

When did the jerkey booth trend start? In less than an hour I learned how to can my own soft drinks, had my sunglasses steam cleaned, ate a meals worth of samples, bedazled my cowboy boots, repaired the clasp on my necklace, entered a raffle for a years supply of freeze dried ice cream and got a collection of bumper stickers that would cover my whole truck.

Well, with gun prices at the shows being higher than at Academy or your local pawn shop, they gotta sell something to make your $10 entry fee worthwhile!

Everyone always says gun show prices are high, but I always find the cheapest prices at gunshows...

Bought my XD at a gunshow, and paid 379...when it was 529 at academy...

I think the next one I will go to is the one in Tulsa.I've heard it takes a couple of days to see it all...Probably because there's just more jerky stands!

The one in Tulsa is Unbelievable . I grew up in the area and was continually Amazed . I have not been for a Coupe Of Years , but it was Still Good Then . I remember in the 70's or 80's there would be Chartered Busses from All Over The Country Come and we would watch people coming off of the busses carrying guns I have met people from All Over The World there . Last time we went Bocephus was walking out of His Tour Bus on his way in It IS More than you can see in One Day . . .

That's what I have heard.I also heard something to the affect that a person from out of state couldnt buy a pistol from a dealer.

No idea about jerky, soda, etc

But I do know a gun show is like any other place you would go to buy something. Do your homework and know market prices. Otherwise you could be overpaying

Wish I had been as lucky the few times I've gone these past couple of years, but I've yet to find good deals on guns. I even found gun belts going for twice their asking price online, but I do sometimes find good deals on leather holsters.

I'll go once in a while, just to get out of the house. I rarely buy anything, but if I do, it's usually on the sidewalk from someone going in to sell something.

True that, what happened to Scopes, gun parts, and reloading supplies. Looked like the state fair..

There are a few good deals to be had at gun shows. I went to one in Dallas recently & bought a choke tube for my 870. Most guns are pricy, but no all.

Don't forget the gobs of turquoise jewelery available there. Seems like the only thing missing at gun shows nowadays are guns.
