      It looks like a Marten or other type of weasel but they aren't native to Texas. It could be a ferret that got loose and is now feral. My buddy found a wild ferret in a pasture a couple of years ago.

                Looks kinda like a grey fox to me, but there mink and weasel are native to Texas....so could be an option.

                  I actually think isaw a video of one of these this weekend. My buddy videoed one in Mexico. It looked like a big rat squirrel thingy. Only had hair on the end of its tail. No idea what they are called.

                                EastTx got it right. It's a fox. He is eating something and has his ears lying flat while he chews.

                                Look at the tail. Definitely a gray fox tail!!!
