It was just the opposite for me - I got to the polling place just after it opened at 7:00. By the time I left about 35 people were in line at the Republican sign in table and only 2 at the Dem table. My precinct must be more heavily Republican than I thought...

Just voted. Thinking of taking my son to a caucus tonight for the experience.

I voted last week. Not saying who I voted for

            <<------

Sure wish the media wasn't so quick to write off the Republican race.

One thing is for sure. This is vote today, is the only time your vote will really count towards the president. From here on out.....we the people have no say..it is up to the Convention, and the Electoral College. So...esentially, the old brass get to decide, just like they did 8 years ago.

I agree that they are definitely not the most inspiring bunch of candidates we've ever had, but do what ever you must to make a choice, and vote it!

In the history of this nation, 8 years ago provided some unusual circumstances. Even so, I disagree with your assesment. Votes do matter in the general election. The electoral college has been there for a long time, and it works.

This one today is just to decide who runs for each party, correct?

Yes, it is the primary. You have to decide if you are voting in the democtratic or republican primary.

Can anyone explain to a dummy (me) why the dems have the texas two step deal? From what I understand so far, people vote once at the poll and then vote again later. I'm confused. Have they always done that?

Purty much. I read that the Republicans have a 3 question poll to take also. I'll tell you what the questions were tomorrow.

Questions involved showing an ID to vote, local law enforcement enforcing federal immigration laws, and something about a balanced budget in local governments.

I've always voted in the Pres. election in November, but never in the primary I don't think. He'll I thought Huckaby had all but dropped out!
