Sorry for not filling y'all in last night, i saw squat, but my buddy killed his first deer ever last night, and with a bow to boot! We were all so excited, i forgot to update. Took a little while to find her, zero blood trail due to a misplaced shot, but she didn't go too far. Ended up backing out early and calling a local taking dog. Eric Cantrill and his pup Gunner came right out and did an excellent job. I highly recommend him. Young dog, but he knows his job and does it well.

Back at it again this evening. Kaitlin and i sat this morning and saw nothing, as usual. It's been awfully windy today, so I'm hoping the deer stayed bedded down all day and will be hungry now. The wind seems to have slowed down considerably.

Well, at least we didn't get skunked again. Had a nubbin buck slip in about 10 minutes before end of shooting light. We sat there and watched him until he walked away, then got out and came back to camp. On the plus side, this was Kaitlin's first day in a deer blind when she was actually authorized to shoot one. She was discouraged this morning, but now She's mad at them. She wasn't planning to hunt tomorrow, but now she is.
